For a century, Phantom has shaped the very language of luxury. As this peerless nameplate celebrates its 100th anniversary, the Rolls-Royce Bespoke Collective presents its magnum opus: Phantom Centenary Private Collection.

As the most complex and intricately crafted Private Collection to date, the history of Phantom is woven through every thread and etched into every surface of the collection’s 25 motor cars.

This is a statement that honours Phantom’s legacy, defines its present, and projects the principles that will shape the model’s next 100 years and beyond.

CHAPTER I: THE ORIGINS OF PHANTOM I

This is where Phantom’s story begins. With its first prototype crafted in 1923, Phantom I began its legacy at the original Rolls-Royce headquarters on Conduit Street, London. A significant moment for the brand, the nameplate helped establish a new standard for luxury and performance.

CHAPTER II: PHANTOM'S ENCHANTMENT OVER A CENTURY

Following the success of Phantom I, the model continued to embody an enduring pursuit of perfection. The next seven generations of Phantom are honoured throughout the Bespoke details of the Phantom Centenary Private Collection.

CHAPTER III: LOVE LETTERS TO GOODWOOD

The Home of Rolls-Royce at Goodwood is where every Phantom comes to life — a sanctuary rich in inspiration and handcrafted artistry. From the Starlight Headliner to the Anthology Gallery, each element of Phantom Centenary reflects Rolls-Royce’s DNA.

UNFORGETTABLE HERITAGE

Inside Phantom Centenary, surfaces capture magnificent archival references, rich in detail. Across its canvases, a century of Phantom’s story elegantly unfolds.

The rear seats, developed alongside a fashion atelier, are layered artworks in themselves – combining high-resolution printed textiles, finely drawn linework, and delicate golden embroidery. Over 12 months of development, this process required entirely new inks, finishes, and techniques, culminating in 45 individually crafted panels, perfectly tailored and aligned by hand.

CAPTURING EVERY DEFINING MOMENT

The front seats are laser-etched with motifs based on original engineering notes.
From a seagull that recalls the codename of the 1923 Phantom I prototype, to the rabbit motif inspired by “Roger Rabbit”, the codename for Rolls-Royce’s 2003 relaunch. These cues elegantly carry the extraordinary weight of Phantom’s legacy.

A LEGACY CAST IN GOLD

Evoking the elegance of a black-and-white film star, Phantom Centenary recalls Hollywood’s golden age. Its Bespoke two-tone finish captures a timeless glamour that shines through in every detail.

Set against the contrasting paintwork, golden details illuminate the motor car’s form with a mesmerising radiance.

SPIRIT OF ECSTASY

Inspired by the very first Spirit of Ecstasy to grace a Phantom, this unique homage is cast in solid 18-carat gold, plated in 24-carat gold, and reduced in scale to suit the proportions of a modern-day Phantom. The feature is completed with a Bespoke Phantom Centenary hallmark.

THE BADGE OF HONOUR

For the first time, the Badge of Honour is presented in 24-carat gold on white enamel.

6.75-LITRE V12 ENGINE COVER

The 6.75-litre V12 engine is celebrated with a specially designed cover, finished in Arctic White and detailed with 24-carat gold, honouring the effortless power that has helped define Phantom’s modern legend and success.

A CANVAS FOR CELEBRATION

The most intricate woodwork ever created for a Rolls-Royce transforms the door panels into living landscapes of Phantom’s history. Crafted from Blackwood using 3D ink layering, 3D marquetry and 24-carat gold leafing, each panel depicts a defining moment in Phantom’s journey — from the French Riviera to the English coastlines of early test drives, and across the epic 4,500-mile voyage spanning the Australian continent.

Picnic tables carry etched portraits of the 1925 Phantom I and the Phantom VIII, a nod to the past and present.

A fine line of 24-carat gold leaf traces the roads of Phantom’s journeys, painstakingly crafted, cut and placed by specially trained artisans.

A STORY OF DISTINCTION

The interior is also home to the Anthology Gallery: 50 interlaced aluminium fins, each inscribed with words that celebrate Phantom’s story through a century of acclaim. Subtly illuminated, the sculpture shimmers - its meaning revealed with each change in perspective.

A JOURNEY UNDER STARLIGHT

The Starlight Headliner reveals embroidered constellations intertwined with moments from Phantom’s history. An elegant mulberry tree design allows passengers to sit beneath its leaves – an homage to Sir Henry Royce, who once sat beneath his own tree, contemplating Phantom’s future.

The feature also incorporates Goodwood’s square-crowned courtyard trees, its resident bees, and constellations embroidered with quiet tributes to legendary Phantoms, including Sir Malcolm Campbell’s ‘Bluebird’ Phantom II.

A TESTAMENT TO EXCELLENCE

Resolving the exterior is a set of Bespoke disc wheels, each engraved with 25 lines – honouring the 25 motor cars within the collection and together making 100 to celebrate Phantom’s centenary year.

ONE HUNDRED YEARS PERFECTED

For the designers, engineers and artisans who created the Phantom Centenary Private Collection, this motor car was a once-in-a-generation responsibility.

What has been achieved reflects the same spirit that gave rise to Phantom itself: Rolls-Royce’s relentless pursuit of perfection and ambition to craft the best motor car in the world.

Behind the doors of the Rolls-Royce Private Office, your imagination is set free.
