Discover ways to locate and optimise Spectre’s range, ensuring a seamless journey from start to finish.

Vehicle range is influenced by factors like weather, driving style, and vehicle options such as wheel size. The range is calculated using WLTP figures, but these provide a standardised measure and real-life results may vary.

INTELLIGENT ROUTING

Before departing on a journey, make use of the in-car navigation to optimise your range. Simply input your destination and Spectre will display the range available on your current charge, along with the optimal route and charging stations.

PRECONDITIONING

Preconditioning Spectre supports the optimisation of your battery range and performance. We recommend preconditioning the vehicle whilst it is plugged into a charging point. This will enable the battery and cabin to reach an optimal temperature before departing on your journey.

STORING SPECTRE

If Spectre is being left for a long duration, it is recommended to leave it with a lower state of charge, protecting battery health.

LOCATING YOUR RANGE

Spectre’s range is displayed both in-car and within the Whispers app — a natural extension of Spectre, where vital car information is easily retrieved.

What affects battery range?

How do I precondition Spectre?

Does Spectre have a recuperation mode?

Yes. When activated, B Mode increases brake recuperation. Spectre will harvest energy via brake recuperation from the moment the accelerator is lifted. This allows you to control Spectre’s speed using just the accelerator pedal, which may be beneficial in stop-start traffic or whilst driving through a city. Please note, this mode should never be considered as a full replacement of the braking system.

HOME CHARGING

The Rolls-Royce Wallbox — installed prior to your Spectre delivery — ensures a private and effortless charging experience from the comfort of your home. The wallbox is capable of up to 22kW. Market restrictions apply.

PUBLIC CHARGING

Spectre locates an ever-growing network of public DC and AC charging stations, enabling seamless charging both on the road and at destinations. DC chargers offer a quick charge during your journey, whereas AC chargers are typically used when you have more time to charge, such as overnight.

PAYMENT FOR PUBLIC CHARGING

Payment for public charging varies depending on the method. Most public charging points allow for tap and go payments, whilst others require an account. For peace of mind, easily filter charger and payment types within the Whispers app or Spectre itself.

ALWAYS PREPARED

There are a number of different charging cables available for Spectre, depending on your individual circumstance. These provide you with everything needed for an effortless charging experience.

OCCASIONAL USE CHARGING CABLE

When charging Spectre away from home, the occasional use charging cable enables flexible charging from everyday power sockets. A domestic socket will not provide the same power supply as a wallbox, therefore the cable is best reserved for when no fixed charging stations are readily accessible. Additional adaptors are also available, allowing you to charge from different electrical outputs.

USING PUBLIC CHARGERS

In places where AC public chargers do not have tethered cables, utilise the AC public charging cable found conveniently in the rear storage compartment. Rapid DC chargers will always have a thicker tethered cable.

CHARGING TIMES

The charging time of Spectre varies depending on the power availability. When charging using AC power, Spectre is capable of up to 22kW. Overnight charging will provide the most effortless experience.

Spectre can also be charged for short periods to increase your range when you need a boost but do not require a full charge. With just ten minutes of charging, you can continue your journey.
